Social Media Management for FLAG (Front Line Appreciation Group)

Location

Chatham, NJ

Date

March - June 2020

Role

Social Media Manager

During the pandemic, the nonprofit FLAG (the Front Line Appreciation Group) was created in my hometown and quickly spread nationwide. This amazing organization raised over $1.9 million to deliver 150,000+ meals from small businesses to frontline heroes. This was a win-win in a time of uncertainty, as it gave back to our nation's heroes while keeping local restaurants afloat.

I had the privilege of managing FLAG’s Instagram (@flag.2020) and Facebook, using my social media skills to amplify their impact. From curating and editing photos to crafting captions and assortments of hashtags, I made sure every post told the organization's story. I also engaged with FLAG branches across the country, cheering them on in the comments and telling them to keep up the amazing work.

It was so cool to see firsthand how digital marketing can lead to real-world change, and how social media can be more than just likes and shares... it can also be a way to help others.
